The Radiance of Sanatana Dharma

“Silence is the true language of the realized.”
— Jagadguru Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Mahaswamigal (Kanchi Paramacharya)

A Beacon of Tradition and Timeless Wisdom

The Kanchi Paramacharya Centre, located in the ancient city of Kanchipuram, is dedicated to Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Mahaswamigal, the 68th Shankaracharya of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham. Revered as the Kanchi Paramacharya or Maha Periyava, he was a living embodiment of Vedantic wisdom, humility, compassion, and unwavering devotion to dharma.

Through his life and teachings, he rekindled the flame of Sanatana Dharma, drawing millions to the path of spiritual clarity and inner peace.

The Life of the Sage

Born in 1894, Swamigal ascended the Peetham at the tender age of 13 and led the Matha for over 87 years with unparalleled grace. He wandered across India, meeting scholars, saints, and common people—offering blessings, solutions, and spiritual direction with the gentleness of a sage and the brilliance of a scriptural master.

He never sought fame or followers. His presence itself was the teaching, his silence the sermon.

Core Teachings of the Paramacharya

Why Kanchipuram?

Kanchipuram, one of the seven Moksha-puris, is spiritually charged with centuries of tapas, temples, and saints. It is the city of Kamakshi Devi, Adi Shankara’s wisdom, and Paramacharya’s presence. The air in Kanchi is still thick with the vibrations of Vedic mantras and the silent grace of the sage who once walked its streets barefoot, blessing silently.
